After visiting the palaces and monasteries of Lhasa, Gyantse and Shigatse travel by 4-WD jeeps to the famous Rongphu Monastery and day-hike to North Everest Base camp from where the views of the North Face of Mt. Everest is awesome. Continue across the Tibetan Highlands, following the great Yarlung Tsangpo river valley, to the sacred landscape of Lake Manasarovar and Mount Kailash. After exploring the lake and surrounding area we will follow the 3-day pilgrimage trail around the holy mountain to complete a once-in-a-lifetime kora or parikrama. Afterward, drive back to Lhasa, or by way of the Friendship Highway to Kathmandu in Nepal.
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1400m):
Arrive Kathmandu Airport and transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Sightseeing Of Kathmandu.
Visit the temple of Pashupatinath biggest Hindu Temple. After paying homage to the lord Pashupathi will visit of Kathmandu city including Budhanolkantha, then where lies the temple of Bishnu Narayan famous for its large idol of Narayan laying on the bed of snakes in the water.
Day 03: Drive To Nyalam (3750m):
Will leave Kathmandu early in the morning, driving for 125 km (approx 4.30hrs) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside to Kodari on Nepal Side. After completing the process of Nepalese and Chinese immigration and customs posts we drive up 8 km (approx ½ hrs) a series of incredibly steep switchbacks to Zhangmu on the Tibetan side of the border. A short drive of only 30km (approx 1.30 hrs) from the border to reach Nyalam, we can see Mt.Everest, top of the world and all the Eastern Himalayan views from Nyalam, stay at Nyalam Guest House.
Day 04: Stay one night more for acclimatization in Nyalam: stay at Guesthouse.
Day 05: Drive to Dongba (4840m) ( 350km):
Drive approx 8 hrs (350 km) reach Saga and proceed to Dongba stay at Guest House.
Day 06: Drive to Mansarovar (4558m):
After Breakfast drive to holy lake Manasarovar located just 30km south of Mt Kailash. stay at the lodge in Hore Mansarovar side.
Day 07: Drive to Darchen (4560m.) 40KM:
After taking holy bath and morning Puja, will take you to Parikrama of Mansarovar lake by Land Cruiser and proceed to Darchen stay at Guest House.
Day 08: Excursion around Darchen (4560mt).
After breakfast drive around for an hour to Darchen, which is the base camp of Kailash Part. Full Day is free for acclimatization. Visit Sterling Gompo (5200mt) & Astapath, Nandi Parbat. Overnight stay in the guesthouse at Darchen.
Day 09: Trek to Dira-Puk (4900m):
Drive about 8 km to Tarboche, this is the starting point for Kora and trek to Derphuk stay at camp.the 55km trek around Mt.Kailash. Those who do not want wish to trek around Kailash can go back to Mansorovar / Darchen and wait for the Kora group to return.
Day 10: Trek to Zutul-Puk (4790m):
will again proceed to Drolma Chu Valley, heading up towards a high pass, the Drolma La (5640m). It’s a tough climb to the summit which is festooned with prayer flags but from there it is all downhill or flat to Zutul-Puk.stay at the camp.
Day 11: SHORT TREK AND DRIVE TO DARCHEN (4560m) – DRIVE TO MANSAROVAR.
After completing Kora will go further 2 hrs treks where our Jeeps awaiting for us. Drive to Mansarovar via Darchen – stay at Mansarovar Camp.
Day 12: Mansarovar to Dongba.
Drive back up to Dongba, & O/N stay at Guest House.
Day 13: DONGBA TO TINGRI / LHATSE ( 4050M) 285KM:
Drive to Tingri after the panoramic view of the Himalayan range as you cross the Lalung La pass (5050m). stay at the lodge.
Day 14: TINGRI/ LHATSE TO ROMBUK,(5050M) 68KM:
Drive to sho La (4500m) and Will reach Rombuk monastery, stroll around the monastery. stay at hotel Rombuk.
Day 15: ROMBUK – Nyalam, (4200mt):
Drive back to small village town, the LAO Tingri after visiting Everest base-camp (5200m) drive to Nyalam- stay at Guest House.
Day 16: Drive to Zhangmu – Katmandu.
Proceed to Kathmandu (135kms). O/N at hotel.
Day 17: Transfer to Airport for onward journey. Tour End.
